A Northern Fairy Tale

The painting "A Northern Fairy Tale” captures my northern experience. The birches, which I enjoy observing while walking through Kivi Park; the mesmerizing Northern Lights, which left me breathless a few years ago when I attended a concert in Sudbury, ON; the Spring as a woman dressed in light and flower motives inspired by the Eastern European folklore. Spring is peeking behind the thick heavy curtain of the winter showing the viewer of what the future could bring. The boat in the lake represents time and its constant movement reminding us that everything in life is temporary.
